Rhett was born on October 6th, 2015 at 7:42am weighing 6lbs and 10 oz and 19.5″. Months before he was born we were alerted that he would be born with a slight problem. He has Tricuspid Valve Atresia with Malposed Great Vessels which basically means his heart didn’t form correctly and that he would have to endure 3 surgeries in the first few years of his life. The first surgery was on October 8th when he was just 2 days old, the second was around 4 months old, and the third will be this July.
Amanda and I are so thankful for this little boy and for the support and prayers he has already received.
She delivered at Harris Downtown and Rhett was transported to Cook Children’s following his birth to get started on fixing him up and making him better. Hopefully this upcoming surgery will be the last and we can move forward in life and just watch this little boy continue to grow.
